Just a little bit of an update. If you have been to Warrant's myspace page, they have a new singer (again) Jani bailed on the group due to pressures from touring. Last I heard, he was trying rehab again. The tour with him had a few good shows, but left much to be desired at many of them. Warrant is playing in my area at the end of the month with RATT and DOKKEN. But, they are charging $30 to $75 per ticket, and no one under 18 is allowed. I'd love to go, but it is an experience that I want to share with my daughter. She iz only 5 and doesn't type sentencez real well yet, so I thought I'd tell it for her.</p> <p>My daughter'z favorite saying iz "Jani Lane Rocks!" She haz stolen my CDz and my picz of him. I am friendz with hiz lady, and she had Jani send her some CDz of her own, a DVD, a personally signed pic with her name on it, and one of hiz "Back Down To One" teez. She waz in "Heaven" over this. We had made planz to attend the Amarillo concert to see Warrant and Cinderella. However, with Tom Keifer'z illness, that got cancelled.</p> <p>We had some personal issuez, and were not going to get to go to Rocklahoma either. (That waz our alternate plan) We got the newz on Tuesday before their Saturday performance that Dani would get to go. Jani had us put on their VIP list and giving us back stage passez. There waz a bit of confusion with the ticketz, and after 6 hourz of driving to get there, my daughter waz broken hearted because she thought she wouldn't get to see or meet Jani. I ended up back and forth on the cell with Jani'z lady and the tour manager getting thingz straightened out. We got in to the show, and people were having heat stroke right and left. So, I sent her back to the hotel after a couple of hourz with her aunt Vicki. They were planning to come back after it cooled off a bit. Before they got back, the stormz hit. Stagez were blown away, and chaos ensued. She waz really scared when they showed back up and wanted to be with me. There waz another front coming trough from the storm, so, I talked to her and we decided that safety waz the firt concern. I had waited over 18 yearz to see Warrant again, but, she had to come first. I had sent a text message before my phone died to Jani'z lady to let her know what waz going on. She assured me that Dani would get to meet Jani. Well, we didn't get to. We went to the hotel and she cried about it. The next morning, I found the number and called them. I waz sure that they would be asleep, but I gave them my mom'z cell number so I could let them know that it waz my fault and what waz going on.</p> <p>We began the drive home and Dani waz so upset about thingz. She had been looking forward to this for over 2 monthz. She finally calmed down about 2 hourz into the drive home. At that point, my mom'z cell rang. It waz Sheila and she wanted to know if Dani waz available to talk on the phone. I told her yes, and she said great, Jani wantz to talk with her. I gave her the phone, and he talked with her for about 10 minutez. It completely made her day! She ask him where he waz yesterday cause she waz supposed to get to meet him. I didn't hear the other side of the conversation, but she finally got to tell him that he rocked! She then handed me the phone. . . . Jani appologized for all of the confusion and promised that she would get to meet him at a concert. She would get the red carpet treatment from him. Even if it never happenz, Jani Lane made my daughter'z dream come true. She will alwayz have that memory, and I am truly awestruck that he took the time to do that for her. I alwayz held Jani in respect for his writing, playing, and singing ability. I didn't know much about him personally, but now I can say this with full confidence -- He iz a truly honerable man. How would you describe what it was like being on the stage again with that line up after all these years?</p> <p>A. The first show day was a little nerve racking to say the least, but once we finally got to play it was fricking fantastic, dare I say Orgasmic lol!</p> <p>Q. Last July, Warrant played the first annual Rock Fever Fest (Rocklahoma) in OK. What are your thoughts on the event as a whole?</p> <p>A. A very cool and special event. A little 80's rock history took place and hopefully that will happen again this year. Come on out and see us!!! 9pm Saturday night. Whoo Hoo!</p> <p>Q. In recent years, Warrant has shared a booking agent with both L.A. Guns and Firehouse which resulted in many shows together. What other bands would you personally like to see Warrant sharing the stage with in the near future?</p> <p>A. Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, KISS… You got to have dreams!! Motley Crue… Oh wait we are playing with Motley in Montreal June 22nd, Hell Ya!</p> <p>Q. Please share with some highlights of your experience touring with the following bands.<br /> Alice Cooper (I was an absentee rocker, I saw one show, it was great!)<br /> Firehouse (Blood, Sweat &#38; Beers tour)<br /> L.A.Guns (Yeah Baby, show us your titties and we'll show you ours ha ha!)<br /> Motley Crue (10 thousand + a night, sold fucking out, that was great)<br /> Poison (The Troub, the Country Club, the Enormo Dome, we have always done great with Poison)<br /> Whitesnake (Amazing band, very cool to tour with, lets do it again!)</p> <p>Q. Over the past few years, you've been playing G&#38;L guitars. Are you sticking with them or will you be endorsed by another company?</p> <p>A. G&#38;L makes good guitars and we appreciate Lisa over there! I have moved on to Peavey Guitars and I'm stoked to be over there with Tony Pasko and David Ellefson taking great care of my guitar needs. I'll be playing two prototype Star body guitars along with a sweet Cherry Sunburst HP Special this summer and beyond on tour and in the studio. Do you still have any of those in your collection?</p> <p>A. I still have a bunch of the old BC Rich guitars that were made popular in videos. My collection isn't huge, probably around 20 guitars. What bands or musicians would you consider as your biggest influences?</p> <p>A. Zeppelin, Ac/Dc , Aerosmith I really loved growing up, also UFO (Michael Schenker), Iron Maiden (Dave Murray), Scorps (Rudolph Schenker) to name a few.</p> <p>Q. Are there any recent bands to come out in the last few years that you're currently listening to?</p> <p>A. I dig a lot of new bands AX7 shreds… Lynam has some kick ass music. I like some unsigned bands too, November out of Nashville to mention one.</p> <p>Q. How do you personally feel about the new digital age of music downloads?</p> <p>A. I think it's awesome; Noel has been great keeping our MySpace rocking… Thanks!</p> <p>Q. Each of the other band members has their own personal MySpace page. We know that you're involved with the band page, but why is it that you haven't created one for yourself?</p> <p>A. Like you said I'm involved in the Warrant site and MySpace, plus I handle our newsletter / mailing list.<br /> That's enough internets for me! Translation = I'll probably get one set up one of these day lol!</p> <p>Q. Have you had an opportunity to play Cherry Pie on Guitar Hero, and if so, what is your opinion on the game?</p> <p>A. I tried it and it was fun, but I'm not into video games. That is my son Noah's domain. Having a song on Guitar Hero has really helped us get more kids into our music that's for sure. I love signing those guitar controllers!</p> <p>Q. What would be the most memorable gift that fan has ever given you?</p> <p>A. That's a loaded question! When we played in Japan a fan gave me three scrap books filled with Warrant press clipping ads, and covers. That's something cool to have that I would have never taken the time to do.</p> <p>Q. Have you gotten any recent tattoos, and do you have any planned for the near future?</p> <p>A. Nothing brand new, I would like to get something new soon. I'm just not sure what I want yet. I think it would be very cool to get some ink from Kat Von D. Jake Wells did my last two and he is great also. We worked on some print graphics for My Star Sound point of purchase posters together too for Warrant &#38; Poison that turned out cool.</p> <p>Q. There's been rumor that you've taken a "day job". How did you get involved with that, and does it effect your schedule with Warrant?</p> <p>A. We have an endorsement with MyStarSound.com great cables. Paul the owner offered me a gig with the company, doing sales, artist relations and over seeing the design and maintence of the company websites. I work out of my home office, its a cool music related gig.</p> <p>Q. And last but not least... You, Jerry, and Joey are playing a round of golf.
