It's fucked when the world loses a star.

Here is a way to remember them and to keep them alive in our minds, CD & DVD players.

Of the guys listed in this poll, who you miss the most?

Robin "KING" Crosby. They are al missed, but it's Robin 4 me. Taken way too soon. From what I've read he was also extremely kind to everybody. He was a rockstar, yet still down to earth. I wish he was here. ~AJ~

Those were some good choices. Most have meaning for me.I only knew one of them,(and only as a casual Sunset Strip acquaintance) and that is Eric Carr.He was a sweet and humble man.

    Death sucks.

...and Brad Delp's suicide last year....what a let-down. He had the greatest tenor voice of rock and roll.

Brian Connolly had amazing talent. Wish he were still around to make music. Of course, it's the same with all of them. I just know Brian's work the best of them.

Being the life-long KISS freak that I am, The death of Eric Carr deeply saddened me. All of our fallen rockers are missed and will continue to be missed. However, I may not ever miss another rocker as much as I have missed Eric Carr.

Hun it wasn't death by od.He died of complications relating to AIDS.

I only know cuz,I was acquaintances with a nurse who volunteered at a church that fed some of my homeless friends.

So I knew about his serostatus WAAY before it got public.I kept my mouth shut until it was on MTV or whatever news.

To this day I'm perplexed that I was trusted with that info.

Maybe I got an honest face?

Although your story may be true, there's no basis for me to trust it. Yes, the original verdict (from fans...not doctors) was death due to AIDs complications - metabolism and all that - but I read that King died of a heroin overdose, as he was gradually getting worse on all those drugs.

I had to vote for Randy--he deserves more than one vote, and I can't help but think of what shape metal would've taken if he'd lived. Maybe it wouldn't have been that much different--you could call Yngwie metal's consolation prize for losing Randy, because I think Randy might've occupied that cultural space, and Randy does seem to be the template for the Beautiful Metal Dude--but (for what it's worth) it would've been more "credible".

Yaknow......this has been eating me up, what you said.

I am not aliar.Sometimes in life we hear things, we learn things, we wish weren't true.

I was on the scene for a long time.

    Okay no I wasn't.I don't rock.I never lived in Hollywood,.In fact,I'm just 18.

Were you in Los Angeles then? Are you industry at all?

Do I need some gawddamn backup here?

Dude (Robbin Crosby) died of complications related to AIDS.

He was also on the street for a time.He said so himself.

I don't appreciate doubts on my word here.

I think, once again I'm gonna leave GR for awhile.

    Leathur does not bullshit.

I'll leave this to the kids who know everything.

P.S.I knew everything when I was that young too.

Come on Leathur hon. Its not worth getting het up about is it? All the people on the list and many more, Mercury, Bolan, Ronson etcetera etcetera ecetera, are all sadly missed, but arguing about how they died isn't going to help any of them, nor will it help any of us grieve properly. From what I've read it seems the guy died because of a mixture of all the things mentioned so far.

Its like a guy that I know who was an alcoholic. His liver was fucked and he really needed a transplant, but while he was in hospital he took a turn for the worse so that even if a liver became available he'd never be well enough for them to operate on him. Just to rub salt into the would, he then contracted the hospital super bug MRSA, and within a couple of days he was dead. The question now is, was it the liver disease that killed him or the super bug? Many would say the latter, but really it was just the final straw that broke the camels back.

I've also heard that Freddie Mercury actually died of Pneumonia, but in reality it was just another complications because of AIDS.

Maybe Crosby took a few pills or whatever and if he was fit and well he'd have been fine, but because of his illness his body couldn't cope. The chances are that because of his illness he won't have been thinking straight anyway so he probably didn't know what he was doing.

Yeah, I loved the hell out of Michael Hutchence....... and he was seriously easy on the eyes...

I don't think I could pick just one from this list. I have a reason for missing each of them, and must do their memory righteous by saying so.

Please check out robbincrosby.net for the real story. Robbin became friends withs a Guitar shop owner named Sully that visited him 2 years straight while the disease was at it's worst. They became close and he wrote down in this whole website quotes, his converstaions, tabulature I could go on. It basically was a drug dealer miscut, it interacted with the antiretrovirals and it OD'ed him. OK now I know everyone's gonna slam me, but read Robbin Sully's words FIRST. Plus, Im an RN,BSN it makes full sense to me. When I got stuck with a needle, I had to go on the protocol and believe me you lay in bed, puke and shit nothin else. Thank God though I didn't get Hep C, cause the patient was Hep C+. I'm no expert, but I am a Robbin freak, check out the Robbin Memorial I put up. I've researched him countless hours. We will agree to disagree, but go to the site and read what his best friends said. RRN :(
