I am totally loving T. Rex at the moment. Ole' "Lady Stardust" was more than a little bit gorgeous, and what a horrible sad loss his early death was.

Loving his "Electric Warrior" and "Zip Gun" albums, as well as compilations and live stuff.

A simply delicious man with a beautiful spirit, and talent? Coming out his ears, mate!

    Love you Marc!

He's a legend in the UK, but in the States is barely known, or at best has a cult following. Would those of you Stateside agree with this?
He toured there with KISS among others. The 80's glam scene may not have existed without him.

Total legend... Although most of his albums are sub-par.
Um, there was no 80s glam scene.

Things being 'sub-par' often comes down to personal opinion. And personally, I think that just because one record doesn't sell as many copies as another record, well that don't make it 'sub-par'. It just means, as usual, the record buying public have their heads up their arses and have moved on to 'The Next Big Thing'.

Take the two records I have mentioned: One is a big fat commercial hit, and the other is a decidedly underrated gem. Give me fucking "Zip Gun" anyday...

I'm in love with, want to marry and have freaky honeymoon sex with "Golden Belt". That song makes my heart ache. It's no "Get It On" but WTF. I also get "Precious Star" stuck in my head for days on end. I'm this close (*makes itty bitty finger signage*) from starting a T. Rex tribute band... (Nah, lol, jks, but the power-pop outfit I'm in the process of putting together will deffo be covering them good and proper! )

I love T. Rex, and I love that skate picture.
It's funny that this is here, because I just recently started skating again, and last week I got some new skate shoes partially because I thought the design looked somewhat Glam(and partially because they were very cheap for the brand!):

I've not been on here for a while, as I'm into glam rock.
More Marc Bolan than anyone else, and as I'm a lot older than most of you, I don't come here often.
So just having a quick check up on the site,
I was surprise to see some fellow Marc Bolan fan's.
I have been a Marc Bolan fan for 38years.
Marc Bolan is great, still miss him.
Keep a little Marc in your heart.

I love Marc Bolan. What a sexy voice. He was a great guitarist, too. If you get hold of some of his early stuff from the 60s, he did some amazing guitar solos. A bit like Hendrix. Funnily enough earlier this year I listened a lot to Marc Bolan again. His stuff is some of the greatest Glam Rock of his aera. It's a pity that his life was so short. Could you imagine what he would have played if he had lived?
Born to boogie, that's all I can say. A bit like me really.

In the bedroom of my old apartment we hung my framed Marc pic over the door way. Like most people would do with a pic of jesus or some St. When we move in our new house he's goin' over the front door! :D
