Whenever a member creates a new thread, they can now create a poll to go along with it.

    The instructions are -

    Step 1.
After submitting a new thread, just above your post you will see a link titled "Create a Poll for this thread". Click on it.

    Step 2.
You will then be presented with the Poll Form. Please study it carefully.

    Step 3.
Input your "Poll Question" and up to 9, answer options to your poll question.

    Step 4.
When you are happy with your poll design, click on "SAVE"

    ===================IMPORTANT - CONTINUE READING===============

As the polls are limited to 9 answer options (which leans on the generous side of forum polling), it is not possible to fully capture poll options where there could be potentially hundreds of choices. Like "Who is the best......." or, "Who is the most..........".

The is no fucking way known that we can do that.

The problem with framing it this way and being restricted to 9 answer options is that it's very likely you'll leave out someones favorite and invariably, piss them off.

This is a theory of mine and it's yet to be proven but I'd like it if you pollsters tried it out. Begin your poll question with,

"Out of these vocalists/producers/guitarists/marine biologists, who do you think is ...........?"

By starting out with "Out of these" you will be defining the scope of the poll and not leave yourself exposed to criticism just because 9 options didn't give you enough choice to include everyone you could have included.

Once a poll goes live, you can't edit it. So please make sure that you have planned your poll questions and answer options well. Also, check your spelling because once you save your poll, that's it.

Please note, when the poll is in place, posts can continue as per normal however, to vote in a poll it is not necessary to post.

    Try voting on it here......

    Have fun with it.
