Besides the rocking bands of the past what else are you all listening to. I like Flogging Molly. I recently saw them and they had an opening band called The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band. They ROCKED. They described themselves as roots blues/ low down/down home. They put on a great show. I am heading up to New York City next weekend to see them.

I'm always listening to multiple types of music, and many different artists...
But lately I've been in the mood to listen to the new "final"(?...as long as they're all still alive, I kinda have to think they'll do more reunions when their egos heal again) Bauhaus album, "Go Away White", and "Alles Weiden Offen" from Einstürzende Neubauten.

I listen of course mainly to Classic rock, hard rock, glam and Heavy Metal from yesteryear. But the new bands I listen to are mainly Power Metal bands like Dragon Force, Nightwish, Nevermore, Rhapsody etc. I also listen to Fu Manchu, Sword, St. Vitus, and the like, anybody with the vintage sound.

Nothing much to listen to without "the rocking bands of the past" but I like Avenged Sevenfold and SOAD a lot ... kind of.

    Cansei De Ser Sexy
    CocoRosie
    The Decemberists
    The Dresden Dolls

Kid Rock, The Pink Flamingos, Linkin Park, Finger Eleven. All good. I am also forced to listen to the local pop stations because of my kids so occasionally I am forced to hear Britney, Christina, Justin Timberlake, etc. I don't mind though. I hate Country though!

These days I have been listening to Metal, Hard Rock, and a surprising amount of Jazz,Classical, and Electronic music. There are no particular acts that come to mind that I listen to more than others, but I have been hearing quite the variety.

I pretty much listen to a bunch of 80s pop/new wave along with some thrash, traditonal heavy metal, power metal, as well as some arena rock like Journey and Foreigner. I also recently gotten into Daft Punk strangely.

Don't worry, I hate those too. ;) The latter more so than the formal.

Did you know that there's actually a "band" out that mixes screamo with rap/hip hop?

I listen to 70s glam like Slade and Marc Bolan, Led Zep, 60s Rolling Stones, The Who, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and of course 80s Glam. No new stuff. Is there any good stuff out there these days?

I like the good classic rock too. I'm recently trying to find other 10cc fans on Youtube so I can get a good collection of music. Remember their album "Sheet Music"?
    I had that on vinyl.
Aerosmith in the seventies...Steve Tyler knew how to apply the "guyliner", work a mike stand and front a band. Still the best frontman around IMO.
New good stuff...the only new artist that has impressed mw at all is Daniel Powter.
