If I look back at my pictures during the glam time period, I say OMG! My hair and the clothes I wore. Burn those pictures and never show them. What do the band members think? They lived out in the lime light for the world to see. I would think they would say, OMG also. Do they still have those clothes in their closet?

They might still have them. Considering the money and fame some of those outfits brought them. They probably look at them and remember the good times they had in them.

I bump into people I haven't seen in 20 years, and they tell me I haven't changed a bit... But I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing?!?!? :-)

I would imagine that the old glamsters would be a somewhat proud of what they achieved in their fashion statements back then. And of course there are a few who are still reliving their past such as KISS...

Charlotte asked me if Steve Priest still has the "minihaha" skirt he wore onstage. She said it probably got auctioned off somewhere.

"I even had a little mini skirt and waistcoat made for Wig Wam Bam. The skirt was so short, my undercart hung beneath the hem. I thought it best to keep my underwear on"-Steve Priest

I know people that still have some of the clothes! A friend of mine used to have this crazy black 4 layered skirt, poofy as I don't know what, lace and silk. Still has it, and her kids adore her for being that rad back in the day. :) Talk about getting brownie points from your kids!

I'm sure they all have some sort of outfit they kept back from "the day" I personally have nothing left from those days. No converse high tops laying around, no Miami Vice looking outfits and no MJ jackets around anymore lol

Ehh, I always dressed pretty plain even during my "glam period. Nothing's really ever changed.

Yeah, i'm just boring then I guess!

Either way, props to all those who have been keeping it real.

Hey now, I still have a pair of those tight jeans the ladies wore, with the knees cut out. My guy still tells me I should wear them out in public, but I think I am past the age to have those on, besides the have tears in the backside too! :)

some of the performers have auctioned some stage costumes..for charity like...and some things were stolen in some cases...but i imagine they'll still have some things.

I look back at my 80s pics and think how little my look has changed

The only difference is the tattooed on eye makeup which thankfully I don't have to put on every morning and take off every night.... 8O

I sometimes run into people I knew in the 80s....without exception they tell me I have not changed.

Just my politics, and I'm much much much more sober... and I have some piercings. But had the purple hair all this time, and I still make it big,and always did wear "too much " warpaint and still love those minis, garters n stockings.

I say if it aint broke........

Yeah. But I get the feeling that if they watched the Lick it Up video clip, they'd either feel embarrassed or piss themselves laughing (especially at Eric's attempts to dance and Gene trying to look menacing while singing "lick it up" in a bright pink shirt. Oh, but Paul looked fabulous as always.)

I still have my tourbooks from Animalize and Lick It Up, etc and I liked the neon and the sequins.I thought Gene looked good enough to eat from stage....

Seriously. I always burst out laughing the second they sing the first chorus.
I love their outfits (I would totally wear them) and Paul looks fabulous and I love his dancing*.. but still, there's something about this video that always makes me piss myself.

*Whenever I listen to songs like Lick it up and such, I always find myself trying to replicate Paul's dance.. it's just so fun :D

You know what? You be PROUD!!! We were all about originality then. When I walk into stores like Hot Topic and Claire's, it makes my heart warm a little--we used to have to MAKE all the stuff that the kids can go in and just buy off the shelf now, we were revolutionaries! Come out swingin' with those pictures!

I like the vid. The last time I wore real "glam" clothes and did the look was when I went to court to divorce my first husband in 96. It was great! The judge looked at me, then the looser I was married to, and told him that he better just sign the papers before I kicked his ass! I love pointy high heal boots!
