My first concert was Bon Jovi, I think it was the New Jersey tour and Skid Row was the opening band. It was my freshman year of high school, spring of 89. We waited overnight in February in the freezing cold. Then they ended up selling tickets a block away at a different venue so by the time we got in line it was huge. Nevertheless, I still remember the bright lights when they did "Youth Gone Wild", not sure if I remember the rest of the show.

1981 - Van Halen. My sister had a friend with tickets. My sister couldn't go (I can't remember why) so her friend asked me if I wanted to go.

The Guess Who. I think it was 1971 or 72. It was the first music concert held in the new(at the time)coliseum that was built for collage basketball.
I really liked that band. They certainly weren't glam, but I still like to hear their stuff. In fact just tonight on the radio, I heard 2 songs that they played at that concert.

The Sweet and The Hollies...and an ACDC tribute band amongst other unsigned artists and bands....Saturday 15th September 2007....Napton Music Festival, Holt Farm, Napton On The Hill, Warwickshire, England...it was magical!!!....my eyes never left the stage....and even though Mr Scott appeared to be a bit pissed off that they'd give him the dud microphone, he was a professional...and made the best out of a bad situation and continued...and everyone was rocking all night...even the Sweet-haters behind me....and now i'm going to >>excuse the pun<< do it all over again, and see them for a 2nd time in February...i can't wait...i'm so excited...only 65 more days to go.

I actually have not been to nearly enough concerts as I wish I was. My first was Bon Jovi back when I was like 5-6 though, and it was one hell of a show...from what little I can actually recall from way back then.
Yup, I am only in my 20's now...and it sucks having missed out on many of the greats at a live concert

yeah...i know what you mean....to have had any kind of chance, no matter how unlikely, of seeing the original line up of Sweet....i would've only been 7 and a half.

Ha...well, in all honesty, my first concert was when I was in 7th grade and I saw The Romantics (Talking in Your Sleep, What I Like About You). They had an opening band called The Elvis Brothers who were RIDICULOUS!
But I consider my first REAL concert to be Van Halen on the 5150 tour when I was a sophomore in high school. They had Bachman Turner Overdrive opening, who I actually like a lot now, but didn't care about then. Wish I would've paid better attention to them back then!

- purdue92That's the way I feel about the first time I saw Tesla. I had no idea who they were or what songs they sang so I didn't even stand up for their show. This was probably back in the early 90's. Funny cuz now I love them. Especially Love Song.

Mine was the Kiss and Areosmith one I loved it i was so obsessed with KISS it was funny now that I look back to it. But now my fav. band is DEF LEPPARD all the way yeah!!

BeeGees, 1978, Portland Oregon.
The Bee Gees and KISS were my favourite bands then, but for many years, KISS was banned in Portland because of strict fire codes....I still haven't seen them.
My second one was Ozzy/Motley Crue in 83 or 84(Bark At The Moon/Shout At The Devil), at the same place I saw the BeeGees.
My third was Bon Jovi/Cinderella in 86, it was a family field trip.
If Cinderella wasn't playing, I wouldn't have gone.
Bon Jovi did have some cool effects and stage props though.Posted 4 years ago # -
It was 1983 or 84, Motley Crue with Ratt as the opening act.

Oh geez. Not sure if this counts...Mom took me to see Johnny Maestro & Brooklyn Bridge when I was 2....also Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons around the same age....later, I saw BAchman Turner Overdrive doing a free concert in my schoolyard in kindergarten....then at age 11 Dad took me to see England Dan & John Ford Coley!
Then I saw Kansas at the Civic arena in 1979 with my Aunt....then I wasn't allowed to go to concerts until I was 18,when I began going to metal shows in Philadelphia.

First concert I went to was the AC/DC Black Ice 2010. Considering that I was a mile away from the stage, it was a pretty darn awesome show. ThunDAHHR!!
My second was about 4 weeks ago which was Alice Cooper. I actually met him backstage after the show because I had a pass. Had a chat for about 7 to 10 mins until the security guards butted in. I HATE security guards!! They think they're so top shit.Posted 3 months ago #
