    1. Livin' On A Prayer
    2. We're Not Gonna Take It
    3. Sweet Child O'Mine
    4. Nothin' But A Good Time
    5. You Give Love A Bad Name
    6. Jump

    All on commercial radio!

Are there some you've heard lately?

Each and every one of those songs are performed by Ratt Poison, the ultimate tribute to 80's Glam Metal!

I often hear 'Fox On The Run' quite often
And 'Bang A Gong' and 'Hot love' a fair bit, too

"Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. (I don't spend a lot of time with the radio, tho.)

Today in the elevator (going down), was Just Like Paradise by David Lee Roth.

    How fucking good was that?

From the 48th floor down to ground. Enough time to hear that glorious chorus.

I don't listen to the radio much, but I was in a store yesterday that had one on. I heard Queen so it caught my attention. You can't miss that voice. We Are The Champions was the song.

Ya, when Queen comes on it gets my attention. I heard "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Under Pressure" which David Bowie also worked on. I never got a chance to see Queen in concert. Bummer.

I hear Bohemian Rhapsody a good deal, but this weekend the radio was on an 80's flashback, rock out with a ton of G&R. Please don't ask how many times I heard November Rain, I could only answer "many". Also, heard Another one bites the dust, for some reason that song always makes me giggle after hearing about a friends car chase when he was younger to that song, and did almost bite it.

This week I heard Fat Bottom Girls (Queen) and Jump (Van Halen). Probably some other stuff too, but those two come to mind at the moment because I don't hear them very often.

I just heard Judas Priest tonight. It wasn't 45 minutes ago. And I told myself I was gonna remember the song so I could post it here. But, I forgot it. It was a good one though.

Guess that's what happens when you get old. The memory goes.

    ....what was I saying?

How about commercials? I recently heard part of "I Was Made for Lovin' You" by Kiss on an eBay commercial and "Nothing but a Good Time" by Poison on an Xbox 360 (or Guitar Hero) commercial.

*Note to self: Pay attention and make a list, because you hear this stuff all the time, even at Wal-Mart........*

I normally don't listen to radio a lot, unless I'm in the car......... but, if Q107 (clasic rock station that kicks azz) or 97.7 (local metal/hard rock/metal..... oh wait, I said that...... station) is on, I hear a lot of different stuff.

oh oh oh...i was at the shops today buying some hairspray...and it's a good job the shop radio was on because if i'd had to focus on the mug of the woman serving me i may have possibly slit my wrists right there and then...but i knew the riff to the opening and indulged in a little GnR- Sweet Child O'Mine...then left the shop switched my iPod back on and listened to a whole number of other glam songs...but that's my radio entry so far this week..although i have heard titles discreetly mentioned..including my dad's new nickname at work which is slowly destroying my love of the song with the same name. 8)

I don't mean to be pedantic here, but when exactly was the "Golden Era" of Glam Rock? For me, the Golden Era must surely be the early 70's seeing as it covered virtually all the popular music of the time rather than being a niche as it has been ever since. That being the case, a lot of the songs mentioned in this thread didn't happen until after the golden era had finished.

    Life isn't a dress rehearsal.

i think golden era is spreading across the main focus of this site...so including the 70s and 80s sides to glam.
