Some of us have no doubt heard of Twisted Sister's holiday album which was released a year or so back, featuring Dee and gang rocking through a list of 10 Christmas staples such as "Silver Bells" and "Let It Snow" among other. A few standouts for me were "I'll Be Home for Christmas" which has a guest appearance from Lita Ford(!), and a rather unique rendition of "12 Days Of Christmas" which was retitled here as "Heavy Metal Christmas"

So, who here has heard this album?

Oh yes, it is masterpiece! TS are brilliant and they have got the balance just right of producing an awesome album that sounds exactly like you'd expect a TS album to aound like and at the same time they are totally taking the piss out of themselves!!! I LOVE IT!!

    It's fantastic.

BUT... they cancelled their UK tour because of it. For the second time i was cancelled on by them bastards! So i boycotted them and didn't buy it.

I *heart* illegal downloading when needed :P

This album can be bought pretty much anywhere, especially this time of year.

Anywhere from your local FYE,Circuit City,Best Buy, or heck knows where else.

But yes, definitely check this out if you have yet to hear it!

Easily one of my favorite Christmas albums ever, right up there with the Trans Siberian Orchestra...talk about odd company! :)

Yeh, listened to it at a buddys house over xmas. Don't know what the fuss is about. Wasn't that great. Marginally better than the xmas muzak at Walmart but then again, Twister Sister never did anything for me.

    Rock & roll over babe

I still wish someone would shove me in the ovens, still hasn't happened. But i have purchased this album as a chrimbob pressie for me from my mum. However, the mail has chosen not to deliver it in time for chrimbob.

A particular scene from "Family Guy" comes to mind everytime I remember hearing the "Twisted Christmas" music.
Why, Dee, why? Next thing you know, you'll be helping Miley Cyrus do a cover of "The Price"...

    Anyway here's the scene:

I have worked on and off in the music industry in everything from the retail end of it (the Sam Goodys and FYEs) to artist development for major and indie labels.

I was actually at FYE when this album came out. It was our number one selling Christmas album that year. We jammed that thing 4 or 5 times a day from Black Friday to Christmas Eve.
