Anybody remember Slade from the 1970's the best live band to come out of The Midlands.
This May see's the fourth Sladefest which will be held on the 16th May 2009 at the New Springvale Club Millfields Rd in Bilston, Wolverhampton.
We have commissioned 2 special Slade items which will be raffled in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice. 1 a framed oil painting effect picture of the cinema poster advertising the bands 1975 film Slade In Flame, which, as been signed by all four original members of SLADE Noddy Holder, Jim Lea, Dave Hill & Don Powell.
There will be a Slade disco, Slade Quiz 70's fancy dress comp and Slade poet Paul Cookson, the event will finish with an almost 2 hour set by the UK's No 1 Slade tribute band Flamin Slade.
