With Halloween getting close it always brings back memories of this cult classic. I've got it on DVD but back in my younger days we would always go out to a movie theatre around Halloween and experience the show on the big screen. The one we went to would air the show on the screen along with people acting out the scenes onstage to. It was so fun, anyone else like the movie and/or gone to see it at a theatre?

Yeah I just put up a video on my site. I have RHPS too, but on VHS. Can you believe Susan Sarandon still looks so good?

I had to remove the RHPS video from my page. It stopped working, or YouTube wasn't operating it anymore.

Susan Sarandon is one heck of a classy lady. If my memory serves me correct, she played the role of Janet Weiss in Rocky Horror.

Let's drink to the great and beautiful Susan Sarandon

I used to even know the Timewarp dance LOL...I think we are going to have friends over to watch it this year since we just got a new bigscreen HDTV. Susan is aging well!

Thinking of this movie brings back so many memories. I can't remember the number of time I've seen it. Many years ago, this one theater showed it as a midnight matinée almost forever. It was a Friday night thing to all get together and go see it.

I adore the rocky horror show. I first bought it on VHS when i was 11. Heh! Myself and my sister went to go see the stage show in our town and i was so surprised of how many people actually dressed up (or down i should say)... i felt very silly in my jeans and torn tshirt :\
The guy who played Frank Furter was the same guy who played Satan in "jerry springer the opera"- he was fantastic!! Handsome, strong voice like mr.curry and has a crackin' pair of legs!

I never saw the second film, as i didn't want it to ruin such a fantastic film. As for Susan Sarandon, don't like her. Lol.

Have any of you actually seen a play done for RHPS? I have a couple of friends that will go each Oct. (kind of a tradition among a group) and take the newspapers, etc and just have a great blast with it. Might want to check and see if any are going on in your town.

Oh the fun of RHPS...I had some friends that went to a late show at a theather many years ago and they all dresses as characters from the movie/play. They had a ball! Made me jealous!

As to Susan aging beautifully, could it be that 'younger man' she snagged many years ago, remember they did that baseball movie together he was the young pitcher? She was like a baseball farm club groupie. Dang, I can't remember the name, Kevin Costner was in it also anyway, that's when she 'snagged' him and they've been together ever since. If my memory serves me I think she's like 15 years or better older than him! Go Go Go girl!

Most college towns will have a ton of young people doing the plays, I know on the west coast, most of the theaters that you see early showings of newly released movies, thats where they are doing them. I will have to check with a friend, maybe he has an inside scoop, most of the time he videos the plays for the owners and then is able to sell them out to raise money for the next years event. :)

are the theatre's trashed after the show is over where ya'll have gone? I know here its horrible, I'd hate to clean the place up afterwards which is why I think they only do it once a year here. Last time I went people took waterguns, Unbrellas, cheese, and toast with them lol Its such a blast to go see the show in a theatre as they act out the movie right underneath the bigscreen. Even if you don't dress a part, its still fun....just don't wear nice clothes!!!!

O of course, why would you think they would be clean? People are taking newspapers and everything else. I did find a site with some listings, but I'm not sure where any of you are located, so maybe you can go there and contact someone, tell them where you reside and they can point you in the direction needed to contact locals. The other thing I could think of is maybe try and contact the drama dept. at your local college, they usually know also.

This is from the main RHPS site. Good luck!

    FANTASTIC MOVIE.
One of my all time favourites. Fantastic on stage as well.

Paul Stanley would make a good Frank Furter. The mannerisms, the arrogance and the voice.

who am i kidding, i just wanna see paul in suspenders.

They used to have one of those every friday night at the beginning of the month where I used to live. It was at a vintage theatre in a small hick town! All the drama people, punks, musicians, artists and freaks went there dressed to the nines. The girls always looked hot, (some of them were probably men lol) My brother's glam band Sly Barron used to play there as a opener before the movie and he'd go with make up and the whole bit, jump into the audience where women would paw him (again I think some of them were men but my brother denied it). I would go as Eddie Meat Loaf's character with the bolts through the neck, leather jacket and the whole thing. My ex dressed me up and she went all slutted up, it was a blast, and that is when I decided I wasn't a good guitarist. I stood in for my brother's guitarist, I sucked really bad and my brother told me I could never play with them again. Rocky Horror Picture Show kicks ass!

 I forgot about that line Ma ma bear, I need to buy that movie again. All my DVDs, vinyls, and CDs burned in a house fire when my neighbors threw a wild party. They got a shopping cart full of phone books, poured lighter fluid on it, lit it on fire and poured booze on the fire making it flame up. Back when I was less mature I would've partook of the debauchery but I was a tad bit more mature then that, it was 3 AM and I had to go to work at 5 to help the news team get ready for broadcast. So I threw open the door and told them to shut the fuck up and put out the fire or else I was calling the police. They put it out but not good enough, it was windy and some of the embers got in my gutter, setting my house on fire! After that my neighbors got sued, I had no more insurance hence no hair metal or Rocky Horror Picture for the warrior. I am slowly rebuying everything which is a pain!
