What are everyone's thoughts on Poison's "Native Tongue"?

It's the one album they did without CC, and it was released in '93.

I think it was so much better than a lot of other stuff that was being released at that time. I love it more and more with each listen! I think that Richie Kotzen has a different style of playing than CC, but he is good in his own right. He might even be a better "technical" player than CC, but I'll be honest and say CC fits in better with Poison. He's more of a "showman"...

I think it features Poison at their prime musically and lyrically too.

There are some fantastic songs on it, like; "Blind Faith", "Until You Suffer Some (Fire and Ice)", "7 Days Over You", "Body Talk" (love the riff on this one), "Ride Child Ride", "Strike Up The Band", and "Theatre of the Soul" (very underrated ballad). Also, "Stand" is pretty good, too.

It's just one of those albums that really grows on you...it did for me anyway.

Lyric wise it's cool, but I'm not much of a native tongue fan
