Am I the only one who would rather NOT see a Guns-n-Roses reunion? Or is most everyone dying for a reunion?

For me, Axl has been such a turn off, first by doing GnR with no real GnR members, the musical direction of this so-called GnR, and also with this Chinese Democracy thing going on for the past 99 years....

I personally liked Velvet Revolver very much. I am sad that Weiland is out of VR, but I would much rather see the remaining members of VR and Sabastian Bach do something instead of a GnR reunion.

    Okay....your thoughts....

I don't want to see Axl bring down the other band members in a reunion. I loved his work BIT Day, but IMO he just isn't there now. As far as VR and Baz, he auditioned for the part. Slash said that it just made them sound like "Skid Roses". It would probably be awesome to hear, but I don't see that one happening. BTW, I voted NO THANKS!

Part of me would love a GnR reunion, but it would probably be one big train wreck with Axl and Adler. VR would be doing anything with Bach, he voice is 'modern' sounding enough for them.

No chance after hearing Chinese Democracy and seeing them live I don't think Axl can cutt it these dayz. Heard through the glam vine that either John Corabi or Jizzy Pearl are in the running for the frontman position in VR

i'd love it to..but i doubt it...and if they did...so many bands don't survive reunions no matter how strong or good they are/were.

(I just wonder what it would sound like)??????
Maybe VR should change the name of the band???

it's a lovely thought, i mean, imagine it worked, and we had another fantastic album. To be honest i don't really dig VR's direction either, an i think it's telling that they get the best reaction (or at least they did in leeds) when playing G'N'R' covers.

That said, i doubt we'll ever see Axl or Slash back down

Chek out Rexx's reviews over in the 'reviews' section
    suprisingly enough.

Yes but only on one condition. Slash needs to reconcile with Axl then I will be good to go! I saw them when I was 11 on the Use Your Illusion Tour in Frisco in 1991, it just won't be the same without Slash.

I would really love to see the origonal line up get back together because I missed out on them when they were in their prime because I was just a baby when the Use your Illusion albums came out so it would really be a dream come true to see the origonal band live with my own eyes. I admire Axl alot and I really respect him because he has tried so hard to remake Gins n Roses with a new line up but it's just not gonna be the same with out Slash,Duff,Izzy and Steven. I think the world is ready for a GNR reunion.

well its could be bad...it could be good, you just have to ask yourself..would you want to see GNR try to get together again and fail...or never let it happen and always wonder..what if?

even if they fail I'll still be a loyal fan of them and I guess fail with them. Axl Rose is my hero and I would pay any amount of money to see him back with the origonal line up. I know it's kind of a weird thing that I idolize a person that most people don't like very much but most people can't stand me either so I guess that is one thing that Axl and I have in common.

Actually whiteacemakesmehappy, Steven and Axl have already resolved their issues.Steven said that in an interview earlier this year that he called Axl one night and they talked for hours, and he said he tried talking Axl into a reunion.
As for idolizing Axl I'm totally there with you BillyAcid.
And if a reunion would happen, that would be the greatest day of my life lol.GnR is my favorite band, I'll always like them regardless of the line up..But I would piss rainbows if a reunion would happen.
Given I was too young to even know who GnR was when the classic line up was together, I would LOVE to see back together now.

Yeah, I understand you about the young thing. I remember when I first became a fan of Guns n Roses, I had just bought their greatest hits back then and I remember playing it over and over and over agian until my step father stole it and got it scratched all the hell! I also remember in the seventh grade I first saw their behind the music and cried when I found out that they weren't together any more. I know it's a pussy thing to admit but it's true. I also find myself standing up for Axl alot because my dumb ass friends like to make fun of him alot and they fucking worship the ground that Slash walks on. I idolize Axl alot and I really hate it when people bash him because of his past ego problems and his atemt to reinvent his band. I just wish that Slash and Duff would forget about their fued with Axl and concentrate on what their die hard fans want, wich is a reunion!

Honestly, I've cried a few times over GnR, I'm not going to lie.I just get extremely bummed out to see old shit of when they were together. But I've realized we can't dwell on the past, and we'll just have to get used to the new GnR or not.Myself I like the new GnR, given I'm a HUGE Axl supporter in everything he does.
And I'm also with you on idolizing Axl, I myself see Axl as a God in my eyes, lol.I also find myself defending Axl constantly.Especially on Youtube where people talk mass shit about him, it hurts my feelings when people talk shit about him.
Everyone else in the original line up went out and did their own thing, some of them did theirs together [Velvet Revolver] and while everyone else is still out pursuing their music career, fans just expect Axl to sit back and not do anything with his life.People get so pissed off when they wish they'd gotten the chance to see the classic line up [myself being one of those] before the new GnR, but you can't change the past. And if you're a true fan you'll stick around and be a fan no matter who the line up is with Axl.I prefer the classic line up, but I still like the new GnR.I'm glad Axl isn't just sitting back and letting everything slowly pass him by [nowadays anyways, glad he's not a recluse anymore lol] I'm glad Axl is still giving us good music [even though we've been waiting over 10 years for Chinese Democracy.] I'm just glad Axl isn't a recluse anymore because he deserves to pursue his music just like everyone else is.He can't just sit around and hope that the band will get back together.Axl has put ALOT of time and ALOT of money into this new album, if he didn't care about his fans he would have said fuck it back in like 1995 after Slash left.Even though it took him like 5 or more years, he's picked up the pieces and reformed and replaced. And I respect him for everything he's done, and everything he's doing. Axl has a huge ego, but then again what great front man doesn't?I love Slash and I love Axl, it'd be great to see them together again.I can only have 'faith' that the classic line up will get back together, before it's way too late.[Like before one of them dies, I'm so glad Steven didn't].Slash said earlier at the beginning of this year that GnR may be in the rock n roll hall of fame within the next few years, he said maybe if that happens there could possibly be a reunion but he said he's not much into the future more than he is into the NOW, so we'll just have to see how things play out from now until then.
And people are always talking about his braids.I heard Axl has had a hair thinning problem since earlier in his career, so he got the braids to make his hair look fuller. And Axl isn't really fat like everyone tries to say, Axl is still pretty small, deff. not as small as he used to be but if you think Axl's fat, you obviously don't live in America. He's normal size compared to half of America, which is obese..He's in his 40's alot of people do look different 20 something years later, he's not 25 anymore. Not everyone is going to age the same as the other. If Axl is comfortable with himself now then let him be, ya know?I still think he's cute, and I know alot of other chicks do too.And I still think he's got a voice of an angel. There is never and will never be another like Axl Rose. And if anyone doesn't like Axl now, I know he could give two shits less. He's probably just thinking, 'Live and let die motherfuckers!'
However, it takes two to apologize.Axl needs to start realizing that what happened, happened over 15 years ago so he needs to stop being bitter about it and just mend the friendships he had with Slash and Duff, because him and Izzy obviously have worked shit out, and Steven said in an interview that he called Axl one night and they talked for hours about shit and cleared the air about alot of stuff, and he said they laughed alot..Both Axl and Slash aren't going to back down, so it may take 10 more years before they end up being friends again or atleast apologizing. But you never know, tomorrows a new day..anything could happen.

Everything you say is true MissBach. Axl gets unwarranted shit, mostly from people who don't like him or he pissed off because he is a guy that doesn't take shit or let people use him. In that business if your like that people won't like you, they want a push over who will do what they say, and Axl wasn't like that. I know the business because my dad was in it for 20 plus years, and that is one of the reasons why my dad didn't do so well, he didn't take any shit, not on contracts, rip off artist producers or the like, alot of shit gets talked about behind your back. All I know is Axl one to one with people is said to be a quiet, easy going, nice guy but when pushed he'll push back. That is like me I'll be the nicest guy in the world to you when I don't even know you, I'll give you money if you ask for it, you'll be like a brother or sister to me, but if you stab me anywhere your getting stabbed back, thats the way Axl is. I hope that at least Slash and Axl make up, it would be great for the rest of the band to do that. Like I said I believe in miracles!

I'm the same way.I'm easy to feel sorry for someone, and will give my last $20 to someone who needs it more than myself.I'm easy to get along with as long as I'm not fucked with, because I'm extremely easy to piss off..and once pissed off, you're going to hate me more than you already did.Which is why alot of people don't like me, because I don't let people walk all over me and the only person I trust is myself.I tell it like it is, and never leave anything that needs to be said unsaid.
I love Axl's rants..Most people think it's stupid, but I think it's great that Axl says what he needs to and stands up for himself, sometimes when I watch his rant videos I get a good laugh.'Guess what punk, you wasted your money..you get to go home!', haha.
I think it would be amazing, if Axl and Slash were to make up too.Like I said, tomorrow's a new day..I'll keep hoping, they say dreams do come true..And I know alot of people are wishing for this to happen!

If you haven't, you should Youtube the celebrity death match between Axl and Slash...I hate you say it, but I laughed so hard. You have to have a sense of humor to watch it though..I hate that people instigate the shit between Axl and Slash, and I wish people would just let them work shit out on their own, and stop making shit worse than it already is..But it's a funny thing to watch, I figured it would piss me off watching it..But it's actually quite funny.

Celebrity Death Match  I loved that show when it was on, yeah I'll totally watch it. Amen to what you said above, the only person you can really trust is yourself and nobody should let anybody walk over them, that has been my philosophy and I am with you on that, alot of people don't like me because I have small patience for people who try to dish shit out to me.

Lol I used to watch it when I was younger, but I don't really watch alot of the stuff I used to.I know sometimes it still comes on MTV2, along with alot of other old animated comedy shit. When I came across the Axl vs. Slash one I totally had to watch it.

Yeah the death match thing was funny, I was rooting for Axl though because I'm one of the very few people that doesn't like Slash that much and I don't think that he's God like most people do. But that's just me.

I love Slash personally.I think both him and Axl are amazing at what they do, and I respect both of them very much.I was Slash inspired to pick up the guitar, I'm not good but I've been trying, my guitar is very cheap and it doesn't stay in tune and something recently went wrong with it so I'm in need of money to buy a new it'll take me a long time before I can afford a new one.I enjoy the guitar very much though, and I enjoy hearing Slash's guitar playing very much also.
Lol the little comments that the fake Axl and Slash make in the death match are hilarious.
