OK...i think it's time for this...incase any of the rock virgins stumble onto this page in the dark....we need to show them the light....

i figure this is the post where they can find and understand the glam/hair related words such as glampire, glamvestite, and glam slam...yeah fair enough...they are the easy ones...

and we can contribute words and meanings as we go along...or not...whatever!!!

Glampire. Glam rock bandz/image with Gothic undertones running through it. Image usually consists of Black or Dark Purple lipstick with clothing being a mixture of lace,leather and pvc.

Glamvestite. The highest level you can go within the glam scene for malez the look borders on total feminine with brightly colored hair,thigh high bootz,short skirtz being the order of the day.

Androgyny- ambiguous sexual identity...masculine and feminine characteristics.

Glitter Kids- Official terminology for the followers of original 70s Glam Rock.

Junk Shop Glam. Bandz out in the 70'z that were one hit wonderz so named due to where their albumz were destined to end up. Examples:Hector,Kenny,Hello,Arrows,Iron Virgin.

Glamour Punk - self defining

cybersleaze - refer to Richie Wristrokkit as an ex.

Glambassador - A glam rocker confident enough in his/her demeanor to represent the genre and introduce it properly

Glam tank Commander - A soldier in the glam metal armies, one that has just performed an action relatable to, and therefore holding the torch high, of and for the genre

Glamraderie: fellowship within the ranks

Glamelion: A glamrocker that possesses the ability to adapt to any scene necessary

Glamdroid: The random nameless face of an obvious glamrocker either in a video, at a show, or a party

Glamaniac: Over the top interest and obsession with glam

Glamarama: A bundle, group, or dedication that is specifically devoted to glam

Glambandit: A rocker that attempts to steal your look

Glamettes...Glamrockettes possibly!...i have a few other ideas but it depends on how crude we're going.

haha i've heard us girls being called glitterettes cause round here the girls wear more glitter then the guys, well most of the guys.

aww..i like that one....we're like one big glamily right here...we argue black's white about our favourite bands but at the end of the day, we all agree that glam/hair is the best kind of music...lol....but no...i really like that one.

Glamdemonium - A very chaotic moment amidst a glamrock event/occassion

Glamacrobat - Either a fan or performer within the genre that does flips, spins, high kicks, etc during the music. i.e. David Lee Roth

Glamatron - A rating scale measuring glam rock quality from .01 - 100. Can also be used to rate somebodys look.

GlamPop - A shot created in my name at one of my venues/bars here in San Antonio. Its basically a double raspberry kamikaze with an extra splash of peach.

a self created one i forgot about until i looked through some of my files...

-Glamsel in Glitterstress- a glam follower who's having a hard time of it...be it glam related or other.

ok...so truth be told, it's only damsel in distress with a glittery twist, but it still rings true.

PPP'Z which standz for Plastic Poseur Pussie'z basically that'z anyone who don't have the ballz to be glam 24/7 but act like they do it all the time when they hit the clubz or gigz.

ah...well that's certainly not me...i do what i can as often as i can..but i DO admit that it is not all the time....being 18, having a public service job and living with my parents can be slightly limiting to doing exactly what i want.

I love the word Glampire though.
That's kind of like what I was going to add.
"Glamgoth." It's like a glam and goth style mixed together.
I think that's the coolest, because I love both styles.

There was this dude in the Goth/industrial/EBM scene a few years ago (as far back as the late '90s, apparently) who called himself Glampire; I met him once, actually. Here you go:
