Seeing as the 00s are almost over, who would you say is the one band to define (or even re-define) glam over the past ten years?

For me it's gotta be The Ark. Brilliant band, consistantly excellent albums, heaps of classic singles (It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane has to be one of the anthems of the noughties)...

DEFINATELY not Crue, their SOLA album blows dogs for quarters. Uh, Guns N' Roses went down hill as well, eh...Metallica always blew...eh...dude this is actually really hard to answer because all the 'glam' bands are not really 'glam' anymore.

My favorite Glam band outta this decade is Babylon Bombs, Dirty Penny uses auto tune on the vox, Lizzy from Vains of Jenna has a 5 pack a day voice.

And as a side not can I just say that SOLA infact does not blow dogs for quaters

I'd say Hardcore Superstar. They have a hard and heavy sound reminiscent of GNR and Skid Row, but with a thrash metal influence as well. Most importantly, they also sound original.

    CRASHDIET.

Hardcore Superstar formed in 1997 or they would have won it for me.

i have to be honest and say i don't know many bands from around now that i'd consider glammy. Any bands i know from around now are bands i friend likes and she likes all that Screamo stuff.

To see the screen name MickMars saying SOLA sucks, is funny. To be for real though, you gotta give that album another spin. Its too good to pass up. Songs like White Trash Circus, Going Out Swingin, and Chicks = trouble... Come on now!

As for favorite of this past decade... I'm gonna go with Sister Sin out of Sweden. Only one album thus far but they are just fantastic. Oh yes... Fantastic.

I'd say H.E.A.T. Those Sweden guys have big future ahead! Crashdiet without Dave have not :) But still rocks!

I see they aren't known in US yet :D Not much glam though, they sound similar to Europe. Well, there's always been bands with duplicite names, like 21 Guns or Pretty Boy Floyd, but i think there are better names than HEAT :D My ex-band is called Delicious, I always loved our name.

actually i'd have to say Steel Panther if they count as 00's since they have been around, and i hate it when poeple say there not a real band because there music is funny, the make records, the play live, and tour there original Michael Starr sings about the same things other glam bands do they are just more extreme, and satchel is such a nasty guitarist... hah
