 As a bisexual, devout atheist, and out-spoken liberal, this makes me very, very sad

I don't think it's wrong/bad necessarily, as people have a right to their beliefs, but I'm not a huge fan of the Christian faith. I don't like the views on women, homosexuality, sex, science, and other faiths. Not that I dislike all Christians, there are many very nice ones who aren't sexist, homophobic, sex negative, creationists, or hateful towards those who don't share their beliefs, but hardline Christians and I almost never get along.

yeah I'm agnostic, if anyone is wondering...um not offend anyone, but i believe all religions are cults. Its like who are you to judge me and say what i have to do to live a fulfilling afterlife? Everyone should believe in what they want to believe in, and not be critisized for it.

But good for C.C, I always liked him.

I quite agree with you, not all religions believe in an afterlife, or believe that their religion is the only path to a good afterlife (Wiccans and other neo-pagans often believe that spirituality is about finding the right path for you, not the right path period.)

My beliefs are those of a secular humanist, mixed with those of an aestheticist (One who believes in the moral and spiritual value of art and beauty.)

Please, let's keep the discussion about CC.

If the individual religious discussion continues it gonna cause me to lock this thread and that could be a shame.

Its his life, if he wants to become a Christian so be it. If that is the right path for him I don't care what other beliefs you have, it is his choice. I am not a big fan of the Christian faith, I am a Deist. I have seen what Christianity does first hand to people, but I am a big fan of the theory live and let live. If it doesn't hurt or kill anybody let them do it. If it makes him happy and helps him good for him. It just wouldn't be my choice or maybe not yours, every man and woman has right to live the way they want to. I say good for CC!
