Hi Leathur, to the best of my knowledge, The exterior footage of Girls Girls Girls was shot at the Seventh Veil on Sunset. And the interior shots were at The Body Shop. Both are still there today although the exterior of the Seventh Veil has been remodelled.

I *thought* I wanted to work there....if I can assume you went inside...they had these littlle square pits like sandboxes without the sand, and the girl dances in the square and there are seats all around. Not a lot of room to dance if you're really a dancer though :-(

So many of those places, assumed to be "high class"....only wanted Barbie Dolls...not that thats necessarily a bad thing....but once after an audition at Girls Girls Girls I was told the customers said I had "too many tattoos"......LMAO....as I do not have any ink.....but at least they didn't hurt my feelings withy an insult. Some places want less art/dance and more....what I can't feel good about projecting...if that makes any sense....

I had a gig I LOVED....near the Silverlake part of L.A./Hollywood.....This club was next to a recording studio so occasionally we had some attractive fellas.....(*smiling at the memories*)

I think that place was called the Chacko Room....named after a nice Asian lady who was a concert pianist.....they appreciated Artistes there....

Has anyone here ever been to the Ivar Theatre or the Cave? The Cave is now called Hollywood Cabaret.

    I'm just curious.

No I didn't go inside, Leathur. Titty bars are not my thing. I was just on a journey to all the Rock'n'Roll places on Sunset. I also saw the Body Shop & The Tropicana, which is no longer there. I haven't heard of those other places, but they sound like fun! ;)

The Ivar Theatre was quite possibly one of the last great Burlesque Houses. It had a t-shaped stage, and it was high enough above the audience that nobody could grab the girls.

There was none of that lapdance crap there. No touching, nothing that could get anybody arrested.

I always considered myself to be a performance artist, and not "just" a stripper. That place served no alcohol but had a bar next door.I loved the people I worked with.I never felt sleazy or anything.I snuck many bands backstage as I had a door leading up into my dressingroom. One person I snuck up there was that Peter Criss impersonator.

I never made the wads of cash the dirty dancing gals made...,but thats alright....I felt good doing what I was doing. And thank God there was no such thing as cel phones with cameras!

Sadly the Ivar got sold to the city of L.A., its now an inter city Cultural Center with more legitimate theatre.
