I'm gonna get way, way old on some of you, lol. This site rules! Back in the day I promoted a lot of local bands who ended up playing for national acts. I met Mike Tramp, Bret Michaels, Heaven's Edge, Pretty Boy Floyd, BulletBoys, Blackeyed Susan, and a lot more. The greatest moment-even though he is FAR from glam anymore-was when I was in Vegas in 2005 (?) for the ten year anniversary of the Hard Rock and I FINALLY met Jon Bon Jovi. WOO! I also got to interview Snake from Skid Row last year, and my best friend knows Rachel from Skid Row (lucky her!). Gee...I sound all 16 again, lol. The guy above who said it comes because we're older? It's about right. After time, some of those guys are much, much more accessible-and more open to conversation about real things and not getting in your pants.

I've met quite a few bands, like L.A. Guns, Skid Row, Firehouse, Tyketto, Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floyd, Whitesnake (apart from Coverdale), Alice Cooper's band (but not the man himself), Dio (actually Ronnie, yay, but not his band) etc. Not sure I'd call any of them glam gods, but legends in their own way, and it was surely nice to meet them. Oh and one more, The Darkness. I met them when they supported Alice, just before they became insanely popular. They were standing outside the venue, next to their beat up old white van, bumming fags and booze.

I've met a few, Steve, Ronnie & Jimmy from Kix are friends as well as the guys from Roughhouse out of Philly. the Britny Fox guys are cool, as are the Cinderella dudes, Dee Snider was a riot, the Great White guys were alright, Blotzer from Ratt was cool but the rest of the dudes were dicks, Quiet Riot, Firehouse, and L.A. Guns are some of the nicest people in rock. and last year I met the Jamie St. James fronted Warrant...cool guys, I wish Jani hadn't come back cuz he was a dick the time we went to see him. as for newer glam gods, the Jaded girls come to mind & they are sweethearts.

Attitude ain't everything, but it's a hell of a start

Maybe not exactly "quintessential" glam, however, I hung out backstage with Queensryche, and met Alice Cooper and Zakk Wylde.

I used to be in contact with Steve Priest via email, but I never met him. I did once meet and shake hands with Andy Scott though when his band played at Thornaby about six years ago. :-D

Okay, well, I've never met any of them except online. However; BIT Day, I went into the wrong gate at a concert venue. Ended up back where the buses were for Crue and Warrant. Got so excited that I almost ran over Jerry and Steven of Warrant. My friend and I just creamed in the car. LOL I can still picture them perfectly in my mind. . . .

Let me see, I briefly met Tommy and Vince of Motley Crue, Extreme, Bulletboys, Quiet Riot, Dean Davidson(Britny Fox, Blackeyed Susan), Southgang, Taime and Brent of Faster Pussycat, and oddly enough, I ran into Def Leppard in an airport in Dublin, Ireland. I think that was it as far as glam rock goes. Oh...Eric from Cinderella and Every Mother's Nightmare as well.

Saw LA Guns when my dad's band was opening for them, didn't meet them, shook Vince Neil's hand at Win River Casino and got his autograph, I saw his band play, I met Ted Nugent when he went on a hunting trip in my hometown in a Bait and Convenience store, I got him to autograph my receipt, met Alice Cooper at a CD signing in LA, and I saw Ozzy once across the street from the book store I was in at the Hollywood Barnes and Nobles. I don't know if "seens" count but those are my only encounters.

Well, at Rocklahoma, I had a chance encounter with Tora Tora -- they were dickz. I'm sure that it waz just because there were so many people there. I also met a few otherz, but that waz when they had us all crammed into a building during the storm. And, doez talking on thephone count? If it doez then I've met Jani Lane. I waz supposed to get to meet them all that day, but stormz & a 5 year old don't mix.
