Melodicism at its best.the first 4 bon jovi albums were the shit.fuck the direction they've gone in. Sure they have changed with the times, gained millions of new fans, and became iconic, but the only reason I fell in love with them, was the screamin guitar solos, heavy melodic keyboard riffs and the singing harmonies.this is the Bon Jovi that I know and love.they need to get their shit together and cut this "soft rock" and "country" crap.go back to ur old sound, grow ur hair back out(or wear wigs). Ur not that old, look at twisted sister.they're doin it,for the fans.do it for us,and gain back ur core fans.80's Bon Jovi for life!!!

80s Bon Jovi was definitely better. They are UNLISTENABLE to me nowadays. So sad to see a rock band hand in their balls in order to stay big.

Yeah, Bon Jovi is not one of my favorites but 80's Bon Jovi is atleast good. I also like the fact that he found a couple of my favorite 80's bands.

    +1

"You give love a bad name" and "Livin' on a prayer" were my introduction to hardrock.

"Keep the faith" still has a few nice rocking tunes and even "These days" has a few really nice songs, although by that time it was clear that the hair metal days were over...

Agreed. Not biggest Jon Bon Jovi fan, back in the day (5th grade to be exact) we used to call him Bon Anchovy because we thought he stunk like one. But now I like his 80's stuff and his later stuff just sucks it hard.

What can I say... Bon Jovi went down hill after New Jersey in my opinion but you have to give them respect for the early work - Classics!

They always followed the market trend and if they hadn't then they would have died a death like most of the other rock bands from the 80s. Someone must be buying modern Bon Jovi albums as they keep making 'em!

Bon Jovi has one reason for being 3rd in my Top Ten Favorite Bands. They're 3rd cause i love Richie.
'80s Bon Jovi is my favorite Bon Jovi too though, i like You Give Love A Bad Name the most of all their songs, and Livin' On A Prayer was actually even voted best song of the 80's.

After New Jersey they had a couple good songs... Not a single "good" album. But hey, way to go them for still being relevant in music, even if it does suck.

Glad everyone is in agreement.its just so hard for me to go around bringing up bon jovi to people who I'm trying to convert to glam fans.they're like,oh,u mean the guys that sing(watever song that is that they sing a duet with a country group).and they say that because that is how bon jovi is viewed today.its not their fault for not knowing that they sing livin on a prayer.its just so hard to convince people that bon jovi isn't wat they r today, back in the 80's unless u show them pics of the glammed style and big hair.its eye opening for some people and I'm glad I'm converting some people and having success.

I realy like 80's Bon jovi songs, they brought me into hard rock with slippery when wet, and as common i don't like the new Bon jovi, altough i'll go to the Bon Jovi show on wednesday at Sao Paulo and see if they still rock

For the sake of staying "relevant" Bon Jovi softened up BIG TIME and it's sad to see. Sure they may look at it as 'maturing as songwriters'...but they didn't have to evolve into the lite rock/country wannabes that they've become.

It seems like they turned their back on their original fans(Remember us? We're the ones that made you millionaires?), just to stay current...Assholes. They lost me as a fan a while back.

Best Bon Jovi albums is definitely the 1st 4 albums. Keep the Faith was awesome too & so was These Days which was the last good album. After that they have sold out

love the 80's stuff and i don't like the country direction they are in now, probably my favourite 80's album of Bon Jovi is the 2nd one 78000 Fahrenheit, ive listened to that album dozens of times
